  1. Independent lab COA — not captive in-house testing. Multi-lab verification is the gold standard.
  2. Public lookup before purchase — if you have to commit to buying before seeing the COA, that's a red flag. Try it yourself: smartmdpeptides.com/verify
  3. HPLC purity ≥98% — listed on every COA, with mass-spec identity confirmation. Below 98% means impurities are detectable.
  4. Endotoxin + sterility data — for any injection-based research, target ≤25 EU/mg endotoxin + verified sterility result.
  5. Research-Use-Only labeling — vials and packaging should be labeled RUO. Suppliers marketing for human consumption are non-compliant and unreliable.
